My common-law partner filed for bankruptcy several years ago but never paid the fine and didn't take care of his discharge. At the time of his bankruptcy, he owed a lot of money, especially in taxes. Today, we received a letter saying that since he is not discharged, he must pay the amounts owed or his assets will be seized. What should we do? Should we consult another trustee to file for bankruptcy again, or should we contact the previous one?

You will need to contact your trustee and reach an agreement with him so that he can obtain your release.
