Will I be discharged immediately afterward? My spouse would like me to co-sign his personal bank account, but his credit is excellent, and I'm afraid of negatively impacting his credit. If I do this before my discharge, could it harm him in any way?
You will have to appear in court, yes. It's possible your release will be suspended for a while. Your new spouse will not be affected by your situation.
