My partner is considering bankruptcy. He has no job and $20,000 in debt. However, we own a house together. Will our household income (my salary) be taken into account? Can they deny his application because of my salary? Will our house be seized? If he files for bankruptcy that includes his car, line of credit, and all his credit cards, will I be penalized? Can he file for bankruptcy if he has no income?

Family income (and family expenses) is taken into account.
